Soft and round, the mid palate offers floral, strawberry and red currant notes that extend through to a dry, savoury back palate. Ros Wine by Yalumba from Barossa Valley, Australia. With a fine ruby colour, Yalumba Y Series Sanviovese Rose has exotic aromas of raspberries, strawberries and cream with notes of lilac and violets, all with a minerally edge. A succulent mouth feel is enhanced by flavours of strawberry, rhubarb and cinnamon. It opens to a fine dense body of wine with a soft texture that is long and beautifully balanced.
Ros Wine by Innocent Bystander from Yarra Valley, Australia. Reminiscent of Provence and long afternoons sipping Bandol, the nose offers up rose water, flower blossoms, shaved fennel and springtime. The palate highlights racy plum juice and blackcurrant qualities, rounding out a ripe, fuller bodied style not usually seen in Australia. Crisp and zippy, finishing with a long cut.
Ros Wine by Robert Sinskey from Napa Valley, California. As this wine fills the glass, it teases with aromas of fresh strawberries and wildflowers. It dances lightly in the mouth with perfumed flavors of cranberry, lychee and honeydew melon ahead of mouth-watering, brilliantly refreshing acidity. This wine is vibrant on the palate, making it a wonderful mate for pure foods. Try it with a simple farmer's platter of sliced cured meats, olives and cheese, or more sophisticated preparations like paella or whole roasted fish.
Ros Wine by Artazu from Spain. The Artazu project was created by the legendary winegrower Juan Carlos Lopez de la Calle of Rioja's famous Artadi estate. The goal was to take the same quest for varietal purity that Juan seeks in Tempranillo to the Garnacha varietal. Of the various locales that were investigated, the small village of Artazu in the northernmost zone of Navarra was chosen for its extra-ordinary old vines of Garnacha. The soil is mainly composed of limestone, with alternating layers of chalk and red clay, producing wines of dark, peppery fruit with amazing balance and soft tannins. These are delicious, not-to-be-missed wines. The 2006 Artazu Artazuri Rose is a saignee of up to 80 year old vine Garnacha, vinified stainless, aged in tank until spring.
Ros Wine by Falesco from Italian, Italy. This Rose is produced from the Vitiano juice obtained after the first 24 hours of skin contact. Fortunately, this means the same care for the vines, perfect ripening and manual harvest of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fermented in stainless steel to maintain the optimum freshness and clean fruit. Just over 4,000 cases are produced. A perfect wine for summer, or as an accompaniment to grilled fish or mussels in marinara. Its big, sweet nose of strawberries, plums, cranberries, and flowers is followed by an equally fruity, dry, medium-bodied rose possessing abundant personality. -Wine Advocate
Ros? Wine by Ch. Ste. Michelle from Columbia Valley, Washington. 96% Syrah. Its darkish rose color signals a deeper wine to follow, and this fairly rich, fresh and slightly juicy bottling comes through right on key. Its medium-full weight is balanced by vital acidity, and its bare hint of sweetness extends its fruit without reducing its desirability as a lightly vinous, thoroughly delightful partner to summertime meals. -Connoisseurs' Guide Pink is hot! Our Dry Rose was a big hit when we offered it exclusively to our Vintage Reserve Club members last year. Based on their feedback, we decided to release it nationally with this 2006 vintage. The name, Nellie's Garden, honors Nellie Stimson whose passion for gardening created the beautiful estate gardens at our Chateau in Woodinville. The wine is a special collaboration between our red winemaking team at Canoe Ridge Estate in eastern Washington and the white winemaking team at our Woodinville Chateau, located outside of Seattle. We receive the red fruit at Canoe Ridge Estate where Joshua Maloney, our red winemaker, gives it just enough skin contact for the perfect color. Then he drains the juice off the skins and turns it over to Brennon Leighton, our white winemaker, who then cold ferments most of the juice to keep all those fresh fruit and floral aromas. What a team effort and what a wonderfully refreshing dry rose! It shows beautiful fruit aromas and flavors of strawberry, cherry, raspberry with subtle spice notes. In a wonderful tradition of roses found in Portugal, Spain, Italy and France, this wine served well-chilled is perfect on its own, is refreshing at a picnic at the beach and marries extremely well with food. Mouth-filling with hints of pomegranate and plum, it's an ideal accompaniment to Salmon or a Teriyaki dish. About the Vineyards Our deep, sandy-soil 100-year-old vineyards in Contra Costa provide us with this wonderful Mourvedre. These very special vineyards benefit from the cooling effects of the San Joaquin and Sacramento Rivers which allows the grapes to hold their bright acidity. The combination of extremely well drained sandy soil and low average rainfall create a tonnage-limiting environment that produces grapes with great intensity.
Ros? Wine by El Coto from Rioja, Spain. Blend: 50% Tempranillo, 50% Garnacha Bright pink color. The wine shows powerful strawberry and raspberry aromas and flavors. There is a marked expression of the grape varietals, with candied strawberries and violets, with hints of rose petal. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, refreshing and crisp fruit characters with subtle nuances. Food pairings: White meats, sushi, scallops, salads, pork, fish, barbeque, Asian cuisine, antipasti.

Ros? Wine by I'M from Napa Valley, California. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon This Rose is made in the Saignee style. Saignee is a process which not only lends itself to the production of the Rose wine, but also enhances the quality and richness of a red wine. Cabernet Sauvignon is the last grape to be harvested, as it matures the latest. Due to the nature of the grape, the bottling and release of this wine is later than most Roses. I'M Rose is a dry wine with good structure, acidity, and an enjoyable long finish. The acidity lends itself well to diverse styles of food. Being Cabernet Sauvignon, there is a lot of substance and a hint of tannin for a greater mouth feel. This wine pairs extremely well with Thai and other haute-Asian cuisines, barbecue and pastas.
Ros? Wine by Toad Hollow from Sonoma County, California. This is Toad Hollow's ninth vintage of Pinot Noir Rose and one of their best to date. It has incredible body and weight. This wine is a beautiful pink with a hint of Beaujolais blue, and has a nose of rose petals and violets. It is a truly dry, uncomplicated statement of Pinot Noir at its lightest and most delicate. Spice and pepper bring out the wonderful wild strawberry flavors. This wine is great with sushi and wasabi or spicy Thai food.
