Red Wine by St. Cosme from Gigondas, Rhone. The very limited cuvee which is essentially meant to be the best wine Chateau Saint-Cosme can produce is the 2004 Gigondas Hominis Fides, which is 100% Grenache from the oldest vines of the estate. There are about 250 cases of this in 2004, and the wine shows great intensity and wonderfully sweet blackberry fruit with an explosive aroma of spring flowers, licorice, crushed rocks, black currants, and blackberries. It is full-bodied, rich, and clearly the best Gigondas of the vintage. It should drink nicely for 10-15 years. -Wine Advocate
Red Wine by Guigal from Cotes du Rhone, Rhone. What a delicious value! A blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, and 25% Syrah from 35 year old vines, aged for a year in oak casks. A deep purple color in the glass, with warm berry, plum and spice aromas. Full-bodied and elegant, with mellow tannins, warmth and aromatic intensity. You can age this wine successfully for up to 8 years. Delicoius with meat, game, spicy salami, and mature cheeses.
Red Wine by d'Arenberg from McLaren Vale, Australia. The nose features plum and bright red fruits with a hint of roasted meats, earth, pepper and exotic spices. The palate has some wonderful delicate fruit with blackberry joining the party. A touch of dried herbs adds a savory edge with fine, lifted tannins providing a long finish. Red Wine by Delas from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France - Rhone. 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah. Deep garnet red in color. The nose of the 'Haut Pierre' has strong spicy aromas that reveal a rich, powerful body that is delicate, yet has a tightly-knit tanninc framework. On the palate, the wine is rich and onctuous, revealing intense licorice-like flavors. Can easily be kept 10 years or more. Ideal with the traditional French and Provencale type stews and meat.
Red Wine by Perrin et Fils from Cotes du Rhone, France - Rhone. #89 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2009 A blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache. The color is a deep ruby with a purple edge. The syrah grape shows on the nose, with red fruit, black cherry and licorice. On the palate this combines power with elegance/ with its velvety, fleshy texture. The finish shows the lift typical of the cooler parts of the Rhone valley.
Red Wine by Perrin et Fils from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France - Rhone. 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre. An intense red color, very dark. A nose of black fruits, kirsch, lavender, roasted lamb, garrigue. Full-bodied, very ripe palate with a nive texture and soft tannins. This will go perfectly with a roasted lamb with thyme.
Red Wine by Ch. de Beaucastel from Cotes du Rhone, France - Rhone. Very deep color - deep purple. Lots of silky fruit on the palate, very pungent with lots of red licorice and lively multi-layered fruit. Very rich, probably the richest Coudoulet I've had in many years.
Red Wine by Oxford Landing from South Australia, Australia. Bright plum with magenta hues, the 2008 Oxford Landing GSM has lifted forest berry fruits with hints of liquorice and spice. Plum and dark fruit from the Shiraz are complemented by the raspberries, red cherries and spice from the Grenache, creating a rich compote of flavors on the palate. These flavors are balanced on the palate by the chalky Mourvedre tannins that provide a slightly savory finish that lingers long after the wine is consumed.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines are allowed to be blended from 13 different grape varietals; we chose a classic GSM blend that balances fruit, spice and structure beautifully. The high percentage of Grenache allows for it to be enjoyed in its youth, although it has excellent aging potential and will continue to improve over the next few years.
Red Wine by Goats do Roam from South Africa. An innovative blend of rich spicy Shiraz and a brooding Pinotage, with Mourvedre adding spice and tannin structure. Full bodied, ripe tannins with good length and structure, backed by careful oaking. This wine certainly has the structure and tannin to age for 3 - 5 years.
Red Wine by Yalumba from Barossa Valley, Australia. 60% Mourvedre, 22% Grenache, 18% Shiraz. This wine is medium depth crimson in colour with a nose of sweet and silken dark cherries and raspberry aromas, followed by a very rustic touch of smoke, leather and raisins. The palate suggests a generous, supple wine with malty chocolatey flavors merging with sweet black cherry fruits, finishing with fine tannins. Aged 10 months in 2 & 3 year old French oak Hogsheads.

Red Wine by Perrin from Cotes du Rhone, France - Rhone. Jean Pierre and Francois Perrin have taken particular care that this Cotes du Rhone meets their stringent standards of excellence. As proprietors of Chateau de Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the Perrin family has demonstrated exceptionally high standards for nearly a century. The Rouge originates from a significant portion of the Perrin's own vineyards, including those at Chateau Grand Prebois. Produced from 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre, some of which are flash-heated using the same methods as those at Chateau de Beaucastel, the fruit is rich and jammy with peppery spice, concentration and intensity.
Red Wine by Dom. Brusset from Cotes du Rhone, Rhone. Reaching the level of the Cotes du Rhone Villages Cairanne, a more profound concentration and depth appears. The Cairanne Les Coteaux des Travers is planted to 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, 5% Carignan, and 5% Cinsault. Seventy percent of the wine is aged in tank or large oak demi-muids, the remaining 30% seeing almost a year in small, old oak barrels. The wine is a deep, rich, inky purple-black, dense and almost chocolatey with a blackberry jam fruitiness.

Red Wine by Razor's Edge from McLaren Vale, Australia. The 2008 Razor's Edge is a wine greater than it's parts. Bright red in color, Grenache once again provides an intense lift with touches of dark cherry, minerals and spice. The Shiraz component provides structure to the wine and tightens the lifted notes of the Grenache. It is a pure expression of fruit, displaying the attributes of a vibrant blend with plenty of character. This leads to a concentrated and well structured palate with ripe cherry and blackberry fruits. The tannins are soft and supple yet giving a long. lingering finish. It is a palate that begs for more!

Deux Albion 2009 is a very classic Deux Albion - full bodied and complex, with a great ability to age. With flavors and aromas of strawberry, gingerbread, bacon, and earth.
Red Wine by Cuvee du Vatican from Cotes du Rhone, France - Rhone. The Cotes du Rhone Villages Cuvee du Vatican has always been considered as the younger brother of the famous Chateauneuf du Pape. It is well worth questioning this assuption, however. This is a wine that has long since proved its credentials and which continues to astound us by its vitality. A true vintage wine, it reveals its attractions for the greatest pleasure of one and all. This endearing wine will always be present at table wherever good living and good humor are the rule.
